It is when one artist draws an artwork for another artist and the other artist draws an artwork back at the one who finished his/her part of an art trade.
i.e. Let's say "Artist A" (AA )asked for an art trade to "Artist B" (AB). AB accepts the art trade. AA asks what characters he/she should draw for AB. AB responds with his/her choice. AA finishes the art trade and posts the art and then tells AB what to draw as part of the art trade. After AB finishes doing his/her art trade. The art trade is completed for both ends.
